Hello and welcome! I’m so glad that you’re here. My name is Kendall Raymond and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and Associate Professional Clinical Counselor. I received my bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University San Marcos and received my master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from California State University, Fullerton.
As a therapist, I believe that healing emotional wounds, overcoming negative thought patterns, and dealing with life’s complex struggles are all things that should not be faced alone. Humans often feel the weight of the world, where it can be so easy for many of us to find ourselves lost, stuck, isolated, terrified, etc. with no possibility of recovery in sight. My goal as a mental health professional is to help you find a way back to yourself so that you can live a healthy life of fulfillment and authenticity. Every human being has the propensity for growth, connection, and discovering a deep sense of meaning for themself; and asking for professional help is the perfect place to start!
I work with adults, children/adolescents, and couples from all walks of life, who have been impacted by trauma/domestic violence, divorce, depression, grief, anxiety, self-esteem issues, infidelity, ruptures in intimacy, and among many other curveballs that can get thrown at us. Because it can feel quite scary to discuss such delicate details with another person, I aim to build a strong and trusting therapeutic relationship with each client through a compassionate and nonjudgmental lens, exploring each person’s unique concerns, as well as their strengths to overcome them. My holistic approach to psychotherapy honors my clients’ multifaceted life journeys through trauma-informed research and evidence-based practices that target areas of significant distress or impairment. It is in my clients’ best interest that I devise and modify each personalized treatment plan in a way that accommodates and suits their unique needs and goals to achieve growth and healthier alternatives, as everyone possesses distinct experiences and backgrounds. Our alliance as client and therapist will be both collaborative and supportive, where we will not only seek to alleviate your suffering, but also foster your resilient characteristics at a comfortable pace that works for you.
When I’m not doing what I love as a therapist, I’m either enjoying the sunshine, traveling to new places, indulging in my favorite food/books/movies, rocking out to Beyoncé, and/or spending time with those who matter to me.
Whether it is holding your hand through a painful life transition, making healthier choices, or empowering your self-worth, I am confident that I can help you get to where you need to be.
